Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 2026
Last Updated: May 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly through forms on this site, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any messages or financial context shared with us. We also collect technical information about your visit, including IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar online activity, through our analytics and advertising vendors. The full list of vendors we may use is in our Cookie Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to respond to your inquiries, schedule conversations, send periodic educational follow-ups on retirement and planning topics, comply with regulatory and recordkeeping obligations, and measure how readers find and use our website, including the performance of any advertising we may run. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

3. Email Communications

If you provide your email address through any form on this site (including the contact form, the schedule funnel, the newsletter signup, or any request for an educational resource), we may send you periodic educational emails about retirement and planning. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Text Messages

If you provide your mobile phone number through a form on this site, you may receive transactional text messages related to a conversation you have scheduled with us, such as confirmations or reminders sent through our scheduling provider. We do not use text messages for marketing. You can opt out of any text message at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us directly. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

5. How Information Is Shared

We share information with service providers necessary to operate the website and the firm. Named examples include HubSpot (forms, scheduling, customer relationship management, and email) and Charles Schwab (custodian for client accounts). We also use other operational tools that may collect or process information from time to time. All operate under written confidentiality and data protection commitments. The named list above is illustrative; we may add or change service providers as our business needs evolve. With your consent, we also share certain identifiers and online activity with advertising platforms (such as Meta and Google) for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of that sharing at any time through the cookie preferences modal in the footer, by sending a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, or by using the 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' link in the footer.

6. Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

Considerate Capital may use cookies and pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics 4) to measure the performance of our advertising and to reach similar audiences on those platforms. Under California, Colorado, and similar state privacy laws, this activity is considered 'sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising,' even though we do not receive money for it. You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of vendors and what each one does.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use three categories of cookies: strictly necessary (for the site to function), analytics (to understand which pages readers find useful), and advertising (for the platforms named in our Cookie Policy). On your first visit, a banner asks which categories you'd like to allow. Analytics and advertising are off by default and are not activated unless you grant consent. You can change your choices at any time using the 'Cookie Preferences' link in the footer. The Cookie Policy includes the full list of vendors, retention periods, and how Global Privacy Control is honored.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We retain prospect inquiries (information submitted through forms before any advisory engagement) for up to twenty-four months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Client records are retained for the periods required by SEC, Illinois, and IRS recordkeeping rules, which generally require retention for at least five years from the end of the engagement. After the applicable retention period, records are securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Geographic Scope

Considerate Capital provides advisory services only to United States residents. Information you submit through the website is stored and processed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to the United States.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Your California, Colorado, and Other State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to (a) know what categories of personal information we have collected about you and how we use them, (b) request access to specific pieces of personal information, (c) request correction or deletion, (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and (e) be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise the opt-out, use the cookie preferences modal or the 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' link in the footer, or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. To exercise any other right, please contact us through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally forty-five days).

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.

14. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or your information, please contact Considerate Capital directly through the Contact page.
